Aaron Finch breaks Ricky Ponting's record, becomes the top Australian captain in list

The right-handed batsman has broken the record of former Australian captain Ricky Ponting by playing his finest inning against Sri Lanka. This is one of the special achievements in his name.

On Saturday, Australian captain Aaron Finch made a special record by scoring a glorious hundred against Sri Lanka in the 20th match of the World Cup 2019. Finch smashed Sri Lankan bowlers on the Kennington Oval ground and played 153 runs in 132 balls with 15 fours and 5 sixes.
  
  Kangaroo captain shared with 80 with David Warner (26)  and 173 runs with Steve Smith (73) for the first and third wickets respectively.  Even this is Aaron Finch first century in the World Cup.

  With this, the right-handed batsman played the best innings and broke the record of former Australia captain Ricky Ponting.  Let's tell you that Finch has made some special achievements in his name.

   Aaron Finch has become the Australian captain who played a big inning in the World Cup match. He broke the record of former captain Ricky Ponting Ponting played 140 * in the 2003 World Cup in Johannesburg against India in the final.

  Finch became the third Australian captain to score a century in the World Cup. In this case, he equalled 1999 World Cup champion team captain Steve Waugh. Ricky Ponting records the record for most centuries in the World Cup. Ponting has scored four hundred in World Cup history. He scored two in the 2003 World Cup, in 2007 and 2011 scored one century.
