These is the reason why India Unbeaten against Pakistan In World Cup history - 1992 to 1999

The IndiaPakistan cricket rivalry is one of the most extreme and intensified sports rivalries in the world.

India toured Pakistan for the first time in 1954-55. Between 1962 and 1977, no cricket was played between the two countries owing to two major wars in 1965 and 1971.

In six times in the World Cup so far, Pakistan has never defeated India. And India and Pakistan will meet again in the World Cup at Old Trafford on June 16.

There is the best performance from the player during a crucial time and some of the magnifying individual's performance that made Team India keep their reputations against them in the World Cup

Lets we look at some of the great performance of the players

1992 - Benson Hedges World Cup - MOM Sachin Tendulaker 54 and 1/37

Winning toss India opted to bat and posted an unassuming target of 216 for seven in 49 overs. Steady inning of Ajay Jadeja (46) and supported by skipper Mohammed Azharuddin’s 32 and Vinod Kambli’s 24.
Until entry of Sachin, Tendulkar scorecard doesn't move as required to the respected total. Sachin Tendulkar scored (54, 62b, 3×4) with senior Kapil Dev (35, 26b, 2×4, 1×6). Both added 60 runs to give the innings a competitive target.
In reply, Pakistan lost two early wickets, but opener Aamer Sohail (62, 95b, 6×4) allied with veteran Javed Miandad (40, 110b, 2×4) in an 88-run third wicket stand. It was Tendulkar again, this time with the ball, who broke through, scalping Sohail. Miandad then lost his cool in a famous altercation with Indian wicketkeeper Kiran More. Pakistan batting line-up collapsed in the face of some accurate Indian bowling and fielding.

1996 - Wills World Cup,
Heroic performance by Sidhu, Jadeja and Prasad.

Good start by the Indians with openers Navjot Singh Sidhu ( 93, 115B,11x4s) & Sachin ( 31, 59B,3x4s). Sidhu played brilliantly as he blasting on Pakistan bowler where Tendulkar rotating strike. His inning against Waqar, A Javed and Mushtaq Ahmad help India to took 90 runs opening partnership with Sachin.

Later on, in the depth overs Ajay Jadeja who scored 45 off 25 deliveries, that included hitting a bowler of the calibre of Waqar Younis for 18 & 22 runs in his consecutive overs. There was a feeling within some of the Indian fans that we had already won the match as 287 in those days was considered to be a match-winning total.
India finished with 287 in 50 and given a target of 288 in 49 overs due to a penalty of slow over. Similarly, 1992 World Cup  Amir Sohail charging Indian bowling attack even after Anwar got out on 48. Sohail kept the charge going all across the ground and easily reached his half-century.
Then came the moment of madness from Aamir Sohail or a moment of brilliance by Venkatesh Prasad. After hitting Prasad for a boundary, Sohail pointed the bat towards Prasad and then towards the boundary as if to say “Go fetch that” or “that’s where I will hit you the next ball”.

Batting first India put on 227 runs on the board. Against the bowler like Shoaib Akhtar, Wasim Akram, Razzaq, Saqlen Mushtaq India manage to put decent total.
Sachin 45 in the start and Rahul Dravid top-scoring with 61 with in the end skipper Azharuddin assisting him with 59.
Saeed Anwar began the chase in style, hitting six fours to gain some momentum after Srinath ( 3/37) had given India two breakthroughs within the first ten overs.
Against the long batting side of Pakistan tootal looks even very small but Venkatesh Prasad stole the show, finishing with figures of 5-27, He even took wicket of Anwar and beating the life out of the chase.
