Major setback for Team India, Dhawan out of World Cup and Rishab Pant in

India's opener Shikhar Dhawan has been out due to injury. Rishabh Pant has been included in the team instead of Shikhar Dhawan. 
 

  In the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 Team India suffered a major setback. According to PTI, the news came that India's opener Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out due to injury. Dhawan had hit on the thumb by ball of Pat Cummins match against Australia.

  Shikhar Dhawan's injury was reported from Team India that he could fit to the last league match of the tournament but now he is out of the tournament. Left-handed wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has been included in the team instead of Shikhar Dhawan.

Being out of Shikhar Dhawan is bad news for Team India. Dhawan plays only two matches in this World Cup. In the first match, Dhawan scored 8 runs off 12 balls which played against South Africa, but in the second match, he scored a magnificent century. Dhawan scored 117 runs against Australia in 109 balls. However, during the same innings, he was hurt but he kept playing in pain and even scored a brilliant Hundred.

Runs in style. Dhawan has so far scored 537 runs in 10 matches at an average of 53.7 in the ICC Cricket World Cup. That includes 3 centuries and one half-century.

In the ICC Champions Trophy played in the year 2017, Shikhar Dhawan also performed exceptionally well. Dhawan scored 338 runs in 5 matches at an average of 67.60. He had hit 1 century and two half-centuries in this tournament.
