Indian Cricket Team for world Cup 2019 - Discussion

India Playing 11 in World Cup 2019 selection 70% is already decided. Only Team have to decide about at no 4 and 4th fast bowler and extra Keeper and extra opening batsman.

Discussion on No 1 - Who will be at no 4.
Ambati Rayudu 70% selected in team and he is with team from past 2 years. Only one series cant judge his potential and even cant judge him comparing Kohli, Rohit and Dhawan.
So India need to think extra player who can bat at no 1 to 4 if required. As World Cup league matches are long. India will play 9 matches. S any one can injured or lose his form. If Ambati Rayudu doesn't perform in first 3 matches then can be replace with KL Rahul.
Rahul can bat at 1–2, One down and at no 4. If he play in team he can even bat at no 3 and kohli will come on no 4. So this bating position make more strong balance as Kohli can take match till the end with Dhoni, Kedar, Pandya etc. Even Rahul can play fast to give more relief to coming batsman.
2nd option at no 4 is Dinesh Karthik. He can bat at no 4 as he is good with spinners as well. Also good option in replace of MS Dhoni if injured or need rest. He is experience and played dashing cricket as well.

Discussion on No 2 - 4th genuine fast bowler

Forth Fast Bowler. There are many Choice presently. There are going to England that is for sure until no injuries or any other issue. Bumrah, Bhuvi and shami are going. than question is is 4th fast bowler required even if Pandya in team.
Than my answer will be yes. Why ? again India have long league match. that is English condition which favorable to seamer most. if all three play continue matches than difficult to give them rest and again issue of injury.
So need 4th fats and genuine bowler. Option are Umesh Yadav, Ahemad, Shardul very difficult, and many other like Chahar. might Ahemad go as all thee and Pandya are right handed. Need some of lefty as need for some Bowling direction change.

Discussion on No 3 - extra wicket keeper in replacement of Dhoni

Extra Keeper - KL Rahul - ex factor is that he can bat at 1,2,3,4. and can field in any place, can do wicket keeping as well, good strike rate and as equally good Rayudu, Dinesh,Pant.
Dinesh Karthik -geniun WK, Experience, bat at lower order, finisher, big hitting, good against spinner, also can bat at 4 if required.
Pant - Wicket keeper, No much experience, batting is fantastic till test and IPL. still no such inning in ODI. little weak in fielding than Rahul and Karthik if no do wicket Keeping.

Discussion on No 4 - Extra opener batsman in replacement

Extra opener if one injured or loose form. option KLRahul is one who is near than Rahane. if selectors feel need extra opener than possibly KL Rahul will go England as he can be use every place.


So if you ask me than my final 16 for World Cup 2019 will be : -
Openers (3) - R Sharma, S Dhwan and KL Rahul (WK).
Middle (4) - V Kohli, Rayudu , MS Dhoni (WK), D Karthik (WK)
All Rounder (3) - H Pandya ( M ), Kedar (S), Shankar (M)
Bowler (6) - Bumrah (RF), Bhuvi (RF), Shami (RF) and Ahemad (LF), Chahal (S), Kuldeep (S)

First best 11 who play as final 11 will be : -
Openers (2) - R Sharma, S Dhwan
Middle (3) - V Kohli, Rayudu , MS Dhoni (WK)
All Rounder (2) - Kedar (S), H Pandya ( M )
Bowler (4) - Bumrah (RF), Bhuvi (RF), Shami (RF) Kuldeep (S)
