Ajinkya Rahane and World Cup 2019

 As the MSK Prasad has declared that Ajinkya Rahane might be the third Choice for world Cup 2019 in absence of two current Indian Opener Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan. Australia series will be the the decider for Ajinkya Rahane how he impress for selector for best choice. 

 Final squad will be announced on April 23rd for World cup 2019 which going to be held at England & Wales on may 31st. 

This List A season Rahane have score 597 runs in 11 matches with 74.62 Average which is quiet impressive.
"In domestic cricket Rahane has been in form. He is very much in contention for the World Cup," Indian Chairman of Selector Prasad said.
As present situatio, middle order quiet resolve and there are dozen of option India has. Having Rayudu, Kedar, Karthi, Pant, Dhoni, Hardik Pandya middle order seems to be quiet same till World cup. So After Rohit and Dhavan only two batsman in the race for Extra opener those are Rahane and KL Rahul.
 KL Rahul played impressive cricket in last 2 years in domestic, IPL and International match but he fail to impressive even in many situation. Due to in consistence performance might door get open for Rahane if Selectors really feel requirement of bench strength of extra opener.

 Rahane have played 2015 World Cup in South Africa and played one of his best inning off 79 runs against SA with Dhawan. Rahane played 6 ODI in 2018 and scored 140 in 5 inning with one fifty. where KL Rahul Played 3 ODi in 2018 and scored 60 runs.
