1. Shahid Afridi’s Record Without Playing 100 Balls in an ODI Innings

Shahid Afridi has scored 7,360 runs in over 350 ODIs with 6 centuries and 35 fifties, but he has never faced 100 balls in a single ODI innings. His longest stay at the crease was 94 balls, during which he scored 124 runs.


2. Boyd Rankin Dismissing Ed Joyce Twice – For Different Countries

On 3rd September 2013, Boyd Rankin, playing for England, dismissed Ed Joyce of Ireland. Interestingly, in the 2007 World Cup, Rankin—then playing for Ireland—dismissed Joyce when he was representing England.


3. Jim Laker and Anil Kumble’s Rare 10-Wicket Hauls Witnessed by the Same Person

Jim Laker is the only bowler to take all 10 wickets in an innings twice—10/53 and 10/88, both against Australia. The lesser-known feat was in a first-class match for Surrey.
Amazingly, Richard Stokes witnessed both Laker’s and Anil Kumble’s 10-wicket hauls — 43 years apart. These were the only two Tests he ever attended.

8. Gordon Greenidge – Retired Not Out for a Tragic Reason

In the 1983 Barbados Test against India, Gordon Greenidge retired on 154 to visit his ailing daughter. She tragically passed away two days later, and it was decided to mark him as retired not out—the only such instance in international cricket.


9. Chaminda Vaas’ Duck Dismissal Record

Chaminda Vaas dismissed both Herschelle Gibbs and Chris Gayle for a duck 7 times each—a record in international cricket. Gibbs’ average against Vaas was 2.33, Gayle’s was 6.50.


10. Hashim Amla’s Stand Against Alcohol Sponsorship
